The NHS are planning to provide counselling throughout the lifetime of victims, in recognition of the complexity of dealing with this issue. Church of England law states that whatever a member of the clergy is told, remains a secret. This is contrary to the requirement of Safeguarding procedures which require the disclosure to reported.
